Deaf Camp Picnic - Free Event
Base Village Snowmass, Snowmass Village Colorado

2015 brings the third year of the return of the legendary Deaf Camp Picnic.

Book your stay with us with rates up to 25% off!

The entire community comes out for some fun under the sun on the slopes of Snowmass. Great music, delicious food, and friendly company add up to an amazing weekend one will never forget. The best part of the event? Feeling right at home with the friendly folks you will meet and dance with. And all for a great cause.

The Deaf Camp Picnic was established in the 60’s with the help of John Denver, Jimmy  Buffet, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and the likes to support the great things Aspen Camp does for deaf and hard of hearing kids. This legendary event came back in 2013 and included a John Denver Tribute, which we’ll hopefully see again in 2015.

Proceeds from this event goes to Aspen Camp, a non-profit whose focus is on improving the lives of the Deaf and hard of hearing community through education, experiences, and networking. Donations encouraged to benefit the Aspen Camp of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

Snowmass Volleyball Tournament
Town Park, Snowmass Village Colorado

We’re excited to see the Snowmass Doubles Volleyball Tournament for its 3rd year in a row, and it’s only the beginning!

Volleyball of the Rockies, the organizers of some of the largest volleyball tournaments in the state encourage you to grab your teammate and sign up for this boutique mountain tournament. Sand and grass courts will be located throughout Snowmass Village and there will be plenty of spectating opportunities.

This event accommodates only a few hundred teams, making Snowmass Doubles a “boutique” mountain tourney. The 2015 tournament schedule is still TBD, but last year’s highlights included Men’s and Women’s Divisions, Co-ed Division, the free Snowmass Summer of Music Series, player parties, tons of volleyball and much more!

Audi Power of Four Mountain Bike
Base Village Snowmass, Snowmass Village Colorado

This unique 33-mile point-to-point mountain bike race combines single and double track trails across the four ski areas of Aspen Snowmass (Snowmass, Buttermilk, Aspen Highlands and Aspen Mountain) into one amazing course with almost 9,000′ of vertical gain/loss. The diversity of the terrain and tackling our four distinct mountains has placed this race in a category all its own.  The race has become a local classic with storied finishes in each of the first five years.

New for 2015, participants will have the option of racing a shorter course (17-miles) that covers the first two mountains of the full route, Snowmass and Buttermilk, including the famed Government Trail.

The 2015 Audi Power of Four Mountain Bike will be on Saturday August 1st.

The race will award a $2,500 prize purse. The top three men (1st – $750, 2nd – $350, 3rd – $150) and women (1st – $750, 2nd – $350, 3rd – $150) finishers in the full course will be paid out of the purse.
