On March 15th, the 2017 FIS Ski World Cup Finals will begin in Aspen Snowmass. This marks the first time the finals have taken place outside of Europe since 1997! Over the course of the four-day event racers will compete in strenuous and exciting events including men and women’s Downhill, Super G, Giant Slalom and Slalom.
In proper Aspen Snowmass style the races will be accompanied by events highlighting the history of alpine ski racing, Aspen’s long tradition of ski racing and of course, partying! On Thursday March 16th, the band Vintage Trouble will be playing in Wagner Park followed by Gogol Bordello on Friday and Michael Franti & Spearhead on Saturday! Each show will run from 7-8:30 PM and Saturday’s show will be followed by fireworks at the Little Nell.
Whether you live in Colorado, Aspen or New York this historic event shouldn’t be missed! Book your lodging and flights and make sure to come visit for what will surely be one of the biggest international skiing events this year!
